Our school attendance target for this year is 96%.

Hours of Attendance

• Nursery 8:45-12:00
• Reception / Key Stage One 8:45 am - 12:15 noon; 1.15 pm - 3.15 pm
• Key Stage Two 8:45 am - 12:15 noon; 1.15 pm - 3.15 pm

Children in Key Stage One spend twenty one hours and thirty minutes per week working on the School Curriculum

Children in Key Stage Two spend twenty three hours. This includes Religious Education but excludes Registration and Breaks

By Law all children of compulsory school age (between 5 and 16) must receive a proper full-time education. Parents / Guardians are responsible for making sure this happens, either by registering their child at this school or by making other arrangements, which provide an effective education. If their child is registered as a pupil at this school, the school must give permission for the child to be absent. If your child does not attend regularly at school at which he or she is registered, the relevant Local Authority can take legal action against you.

Having a good education will help to give your child the best possible start in life. You should make sure that your child goes to school regularly, arrives on time and keeps to the school rules. If your child is ill, the school should be contacted on the first day of the illness and informed of the possible date of return if known. Permission for absence, holidays or special occasions, must be requested from the school but wherever possible, holidays must be taken during school holidays.

Attendance at Whitefield is monitored on a weekly basis to help in areas of difficulty, particularly concerning school attendance and problems of a domestic nature. If you have any concerns or questions please contact, Mrs Harper to discuss on 0161 766 2852.
