Homework
At Whitefield community Primary School we recognise the importance in developing a partnership with parents and involve them actively in their child’s learning. Therefore, the activities children do at home are consistent across school to ensure we have an easy to understand system throughout our school. We expect that children to spend around an hour each week on their homework, across the week. This equates to around 10 minutes a day, as a minimum.
Parents can help support their children and the school bu ensuring the following homework is done each week.
- Regular practice of Spellings using Spelling Shed
- Timestables through the use of TTRockstars
- Regular reading-The children should be heard regularly so they can quiz in school on the Accelerated Reader Program
